Kethug released his new single “Kumori no Chihare” today, January 15th (Wednesday).
Kethug, who started his music career in 2020 while being influenced by hip-hop/R&B in Okinawa, began his career in earnest with the collaboration single “Trust” with beat maker NGONG from the same hometown, and in 2023. appeared as a guest performer on the song “Grateful” from Yo-Sea’s 1st album “Sea Of Love”. Since then, he has continued to make his presence felt by participating in the collaborative single “Way Good” with producer/DJ TOMi, “098 RADIO vol.2” hosted by Awich, and Gottz’s latest album “numbers”.
This is his third solo single and his first release in 2025, and it is an impressive track with an emotionally resonant piano that has a “gospel R&B” atmosphere from the beginning. With the theme of “Release from the negative emotions that you have turned away from,” the positive lyrics combine the changes in your inner self and the sky changing from rainy to cloudy to sunny, and the transparent song. The song has a gentle yet powerful voice.
Kethug is planning to release his fourth single in February, followed by two EPs. I would like to pay attention to future trends.
