■Riku, played by Kento Nakajima, and Kajiwara, played by Kenta Kiritani, have been best friends since their university days.
Starring Kento Nakajima, first appearance in a Milet movie, from director Takahiro Miki’s latest movie “Unknown Girlfriend” (to be released on February 28th), Kento Nakajima plays the main character Riku, and Kiritani plays Riku’s best friend Kajiwara. A making-of video of Kenta filming was released.
The fate of Riku and Minami’s love story, which is at the mercy of a world of “what ifs,” is what makes this movie interesting, but the friendship between Riku and Kajiwara is also one of the highlights of this movie.
The main characters, Riku (Kento Nakajima) and Kajiwara (Kenta Kiritani), have been best friends since college, and one day Riku wanders into an alternate world where they work as editors at the same workplace and can talk about anything. Confused by Riku’s suddenly changed environment, Kajiwara asks for help and is the only person who knows about Riku’s situation and can help him.
Nakajima and Kiritani have been close friends in private since they co-starred in “From Lageli with Love” (2022). This is their second time co-starring in this work, and they play the roles of best friends, and their relationship with each other is reflected in their roles, making their interactions even more harmonious.
The newly released making-of video features Kiritani improvising to bring reality to the characters of Riku and Kajiwara, and Nakajima reacting instantly and responding with flexible acting. In addition, director Miki respects the opinions and performances of the two, creating a friendly atmosphere while filming together.
In one main scene, Nakajima unexpectedly kisses Kiritani on the cheek in an ad-lib, and the two, who trust each other, bring out the natural sides of each other by playing the role of best friends. Also pay attention to the scene where the two interact, which will make you laugh and cry.
This winter’s most poignant and endearing fantasy love story, “Unknown Girlfriend,” which reminds us once again of the importance of the person next to us through the world of “what if”, will be released nationwide from February 28th.
