Da-iCE released their new single “FUNKEYS” on January 15th.
This work is a package single released for the first time in about 3 years to coincide with the 11th anniversary of their debut, “Da-iCE DAY 2025”.
The title song “FUNKEYS” features Akiko Wada, one of Japan’s leading singers and the queen of Japanese R&B, and member Taiki Kudo participated in writing the lyrics. The song is attracting attention for its lyrics that are a mix of his typical irony and playfulness.
To coincide with the release, the music video was premiered on YouTube at 10pm on January 15th. In this MV, Akko, who is disguised as a director, makes Da-iCE members perform slapstick acts as she is told, making the video reminiscent of the world of 50’s soul music to 70’s funk music.
