Dry Echoes is a unit composed of rapper Hikaru Tanaka and beat maker FKD. His 1st album “Narratage” released from “OILWORKS Rec.” in 2021 also attracted attention.
It has been about four years since the release of this album, and FKD has continued to absorb new music with his inquisitive spirit and drive. Although he is devoted to bass music, IDM, electronica, dance music, etc., he continues to analyze it in order to sublimate it as his own method of expression, and continues to be at the forefront of the scene by continuing to release numerous collaborations and his own works. Hikaru Tanaka wrote lyrics even though he was busy with his daily life. Sometimes he travels overseas to rap. Through gigs in LA, the birthplace of culture, sessions with contemporary musicians from the Pacific, and interactions with Asian friends, he left behind results and refined his expression in Japanese rapping. .
In this work, “Danpen”, you can get a glimpse of the trajectory of the two who continued to produce Dry Echoes during that time.
