Texas 3000 released their new single “Universe Drawer” today, January 17th (Friday).
Texas 3000 is a three-member band consisting of Jojo, Kirin, and Sakiyama based in Tokyo. This is their first release since their 1st album “tx3k” released in 2023, and is a song with the theme of “emo in 2033.” This work is a fusion of noise pop and emo sounds reminiscent of the American emo band Mineral.
A special feature written by Ian Cohen, a journalist who has contributed to American music media such as Pitchfork, for overseas music media “UPROXX”.『The Best Emo Albums Of 2023』It all started when he described Texas 3000 as “emo in 2033.” Although the members were happy that a famous journalist wrote a review, they were a little confused by the completely unimaginable “emo of 2033,” so they decided to create it as a theme for their next song. It is said that this work has been completed.
Texas 3000 will be holding a sequel to their own project, “WEIRD DREAMS #5” on Saturday, January 18th at Hatagaya FOREST LIMIT, Tokyo, and “WEIRD DREAMS #6” on Thursday, January 23rd at Namba BEARS in Osaka. Each will be held at BISING, lows0n, and PAPRIKAN will be appearing in the Tokyo edition, and Tengokuinju, Elephant Back, and Yaho will be appearing in the Osaka edition.
