Co shu Nie (pronounced: Co shu Nie / “o” is officially spelled with an umlaut) and HYDE team up for the first time for a new song “MAISIE” (pronounced: Maisie), which will be released in the anime “Black Butler – Midorino” which will start airing in April. It has been decided that the song will be used as the opening theme for “Majohen”.
This work under the name Co shu Nie feat. HYDE was written by HYDE based on the story of the anime “Black Butler – Green Witch Edition”, and Mirai Nakamura, who is a multi-talented artist in Co shu Nie, arranged the song. A notable work that he has created. A collaboration between an artist who is popular not only in Japan but also overseas and an anime work is sure to generate a lot of attention in various quarters.
What kind of chemical reaction will occur when Co shu Nie, who has an innovative approach with a sound that is not bound by stereotypes, and HYDE, who is active worldwide such as L’Arc~en~Ciel/VAMPS/THE LAST ROCKSTARS, will be created for the first time? I’m honored to be involved in a work that I love.
It’s the theme song for a popular anime, so I wonder if it’ll work well? I was worried, but I was relieved when I saw the reference materials from the Black Butler team.
That’s because all of them had a worldview that I liked, with no trace of popular appeal (lol).
He said, “Now, let me create a ‘Black Butler’-like worldview in any way I like.”
Having read the story “The Green Witch,” which has a strong sense of gothic horror, over and over again, the process of shaping Ciel’s will and Sullivan’s fate went smoothly.
Mirai Nakamura’s genius arrangement turned it into a wonderful song.
I can’t wait to see what kind of pictures will be included in the opening video.

In order to expand on the ideas and concepts that HYDE sent me, I was a little worried that he might get angry, but I was allowed to do whatever I wanted!
I’ve read the original manga many times, and it’s a work that I personally have a lot of fondness for, so I’d be very happy if people could enjoy the songs in the anime as well.
