In Kumamoto Prefecture, we aim to create a “Children’s Central Kumamoto” where children and young people shine brightly and residents can dream about their families and child-rearing. Kumamon, the Kumamoto Prefecture Sales Manager and Happiness Manager, supports this initiative as a “Children’s Middle School Supporter.”
Although various educational events that were forced to refrain due to the coronavirus pandemic are returning to their previous status, the burden on teachers in the field remains heavy. In order to support teachers at kindergartens, nursery schools, and kindergartens, Kumamoto Prefecture is collaborating with Columbia Kids, a project run by Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd. for everyone involved in children and child rearing. Planning a “Free Mini Kids Dance & Play Song Class”. Featuring nursery artist Keropons as a lecturer and Kumamon as a guest, the program was held at the Kumamoto Prefecture Disaster Prevention Center for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and was held at the Kumamoto Prefectural Disaster Prevention Center on a program that can be put to practical use at Undo-kai and Happy-kai.
Approximately 100 childcare workers selected by lottery attended the event. Lectures were given on 18 performances, including dance to Keropons’ signature song “Ebikanix,” play songs, panel theater, picture book reading, and gymnastics, as well as Kumamon’s dance songs “Kamon! Kumamon!” and “Manmakuma Kumamon.” .

A music unit formed in 1999, consisting of Yuko Masuda (Kero) and Akiko Hirata (Pon).
He produces music and choreography for children, and performs in over 100 performances a year, including parent-child concerts. His masterpiece “Ebikanics” is a classic gymnastics song that is popular at nursery schools and kindergartens, and the YouTube video has been viewed over 150 million times (August 2020).
The music, gymnastics, and stage performances that can be enjoyed by not only children but also adults are popular. He also appears in childcare seminars for nursery teachers and kindergarten teachers, provides music and choreography, and creates picture books, with over 1,000 works. Provided music for NHK’s “Okaasan to Issho” and appeared at “Fuji Rock Festival” consecutively since 2013. Jury member/supporter of the “Nursery Rhymes Children’s Song Contest” (2017-). He has also appeared on many TV shows such as “Shabekuri 007”, “A Deep Story That Will Change Your Life”, “Guru Guru Ninety-Nine”, “Out x Deluxe”, and “ZIP!”.
