Hinatazaka46, Kocchi no Kento performs hit songs from the 1980s! NHK's "Utacon" theme is "Exciting! Genki Songs & 80's Hits"

■Hinatazaka46 covers Wink’s “Turn It Into Love” and Kocchi no Kento covers CCB’s “Romantic ga Stops”!

“Utacon” will be broadcast on January 28th. The theme for the first live broadcast in 2025 is “Exciting! Genki Songs & 80’s Hits.”

Leon Niihama and Yoshimi Tendo, who enlivened the 2024 New Year’s Eve “Kohaku Uta Gassen,” enthusiastically sang the energetic songs “YOUNG MAN (YMCA)” and “Matsuri Mambo” by their respective senior singers they respect.

In the special corner of energetic songs from the 1980s, which are now popular among the younger generation, we will welcome Nora Hirano, a talent who loves 80s music, as a guest, and will deliver a medley of hit songs by young artists.

Hinatazaka46 sings “Ai ga ga na nai ~Turn It Into Love~” by Wink, Kocchi no Kento sings “Romantic ga nai wa” by CCB, Aimi Tanaka sings “Kazari ga de nai yo nada wa” by Akina Nakamori, Niihama Leon takes on the challenge of Yutaka Ozaki’s “15 Nights.”

Akemi Ishii, making her first appearance on Utacon, performed her 1986 hit number CHA-CHA-CHA, which symbolized the bubble era.

In addition, BEGIN, who will celebrate their 35th anniversary since their debut in 2025, will sing their representative song “Shimajin Nu Takara.” In addition, he will perform a special collaboration with Mitsuki Kimura, the vocalist of Yuukadan, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025, on the blues classic “I Don’t Like It” (1975), a song filled with respect.
