DIR EN GRAY bassist Toshiya will hold his first solo art exhibition and photo exhibition simultaneously in March!

DIR EN GRAY’s bassist Toshiya has announced that he will be holding his first solo art exhibition and photo exhibition in March!

The venue will be on the 6th and B1 floors of Gallery LE DECO located in Shibuya Ward. Visitors are welcomed to a special space created by Toshiya’s unique aesthetics and sensibilities.

In the solo exhibition, “Toshiya OFFICIAL In addition to some of the art works that were on display at SITE “utakata”, new and past handwritten works will be on display.Furthermore, during the period, Toshiya himself will visit sometime every day and perform live performances. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the painting up close. In addition, original BGM created by Toshiya will be played, allowing you to enjoy the world view both visually and aurally. The structure is as follows.

Toshiya said, “I have loved drawing and creating things since I was a child, and although I aspired to become a painter in the future, I got into music and met the members of DIR EN GRAY, so I just continued to play with the band.” says. In addition, I have started the Toshiya OFFICIAL SITE “utakata” and have drawn a picture every month as one of the contents there. All of my works are unfinished when I draw them, but I believe that they are only complete when someone sees them,” he said, revealing his thoughts on his creations.

In addition, the photo exhibition will feature unreleased portrait photos that will be released as utakata’s “Monochrome Photography” from May 2024 onwards, as well as newly taken new works. These works are likely to attract attention as a group of gems that deeply reflect Toshiya’s inner self and sensibilities as an artist.

Furthermore, products from Toshiya’s brand “DIRT 100% Natural Dirty” will be sold in a pop-up store format at the venue.
