Black Petrol has released a new EP “Insomniac Reveries” today on Wednesday, January 29.
BLACK, BLACK, who appeared in “SUMMER SONIC” in 2023 and “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24” in 2024 and holds independent projects with many bands in Tokyo and Osaka. Petrol.
This work includes all four songs including the preceding single “Howlin’Collective”. Even after leaving Kyoto, the base, it is composed of songs that appeal to the members who chose to make music together, and the difficulties of living in this era.
“KAMOGAWA in My Day”, which decorates the last of the EP, is a song that sang about the “time flow”, the theme of the formation of the band where all members spent their student life. It is also a work that follows the memory of ONISAWA, who is living in Fukushima Prefecture and is working together.
This work, which is packed with the history of the band from living in Kyoto early to 2025, with completely independent production, from recording to mix, has a very high documentary content.

This band was formed in Kyoto, and the history of each other in different places was summarized in four songs in independent production, from recording to mix. Perhaps this will be the first and last band’s documentary work.
The EP, an experimental sound, an experimental jazz hip hop band, and an unpredictable EP that can be developed beyond the boundaries of music genres!
