PK Shampoo Gains Attention with Their Overwhelming Performance in the Current Rock Band Scene
The music video for the lead track ‘Shi ga Futari wo Wakatsu made’ (which means ‘Till Death Do Us Part’) from their major 1st EP ‘Saiteigi E.P,’ released on December 6th, was also unveiled the same day. Vo/Gt. Yamato Punk directed and starred in the video, setting the fast-paced action in familiar locations like Shinjuku and Koenji, featuring street scenes, inside shops, and studios, where he fights villains and makes daring escapes.
PK Shampoo’s unique blend of madness and melancholy permeates their music, making the intense and fast-paced visuals a must-watch that truly showcases the band’s current momentum. The title ‘Shi ga Futari wo Wakatsu made’ is a quote from the Bible, and it’s a sequel to ‘Kimi no Himitsu ni Naritai,’ the first song Yamato Punk wrote and composed in his career, redefining PK Shampoo’s identity.
Keep an eye on PK Shampoo as they continue to intensify their activities
Another new song included in the ‘Saiteigi E.P’ is ‘Akirame no Subete,’ the band’s shortest emotional track to date. Their unique melodic ups and downs create a pleasant listening experience, making it an ideal number for live performance excitement. Yamato Punk’s solo song ‘Dai San Shu Sekkin Souguu’ and a re-arranged re-recording of the previously released ‘Kanzaki River’ have added a greater sense of scale, projecting the current worldview of PK Shampoo. These are definitely worth a listen
Moreover, the limited edition DVD contains the full recording of their last tour finale ‘PK Shampoo One Man Live “Pencil Rocket Opera” THE FINAL.’ The quality of this bonus footage is impressive (although it might be challenging to obtain overseas). The new national solo tour ‘PK Shampoo Major 1st EP “Saiteigi E.P” Release One Man Tour “Saishi Sanko”‘ is set to kick off on December 8th in Tokyo’s Shimokitazawa SHELTER, with 14 performances nationwide. Tickets are currently on sale at various outlets. If you have the chance to visit Japan, make sure to check it out!
