BANNY BUGS released their new single “BIRKIN” today, Wednesday, February 12th.
BANNY BUGS is a producer and MC who runs collective CCS records., which continues to share various expressions based in Fukuoka. This is a song for his first full album under his own solo name. This dance music was inspired by the anecdotes of Jane Birkin, who was the model for Hermes’ masterpiece “Birkin.”
The production, mixing and arrangements will be done by mee mee mee, who also serves as a live DJ for BANNY BUGS. The variety of tones of ama piano and afrobeats have been refined into alternatives, and they have been sublimated into luxury dance music. Mastering was done by MAITO OTA, who works with JUBEE, Rave Racers, Yohji Igarashi, and more.
The artwork is taken by Tokyo-based photographer Tairiku Kawamura (AOTL).
