Okinawa-based SSW Kinami has announced that she will be holding her first tour in Tokyo and Okinawa, “To Be Seen To Be Loved.”
At the showcase festival “MUSIC LANE OKINAWA 2025” held in January this year, Kinami attracted attention for her lyrics that describe her experiences from a feminine perspective and her powerful singing that expresses all her emotions. This tour will be her first performance on a band set since she appeared on “SYNCHRONICITY’22”, so we can expect a more powerful performance that is typical of hers.
The Tokyo performance will be held at Shimokitazawa SPREAD on Friday, March 14th, and the Okinawa performance will be held at Remy’s in Okinawa City on Saturday, March 22nd. The band members of the Tokyo performance are Masaaki Saito, a friend from Berklee College of Music and a bassist who also works as a backing band for major artists such as Ren and INI, and a friend from her time at university, who also works as a session host and composer. The guitarist Alejandro Espinosa, and drummer Naoi Genta, who has been active as a studio musician since he was in high school, will be participating. In addition, the DJ for the Tokyo performance will be SUNNY ONLY 1, and the special guest for the Okinawa performance will be KUNIKO, a singer who will connect Okinawan folk songs to the next generation.
Kinami is scheduled to release their second EP, “To Be Seen To Be Loved,” around June, and will perform a new song on this tour as well. Kinami will be relocating to London for a certain period of time after this tour, so domestic performances will be suspended for a while. Don’t miss this opportunity.
