Universal Music LLC (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fujikura Nao / hereinafter referred to as Universal Music) has formed Ae! group’s first ALBUM “DNA” in February, the group’s first ALBUM group. It will be on sale on the 18th (Tuesday).
Ae! group made their CD debut in May 2024 and ranked first in the “Newcomer Rankings” in the artist-specific sales category of “Oricon Annual Rankings 2024”.
This work, which will be released on Tuesday, February 18th, the group’s formation date, has been transformed into a first ALBUM that is worthy of calling it “DNA,” a starting point that packs all the things they have in the present. The release will be released in three formats: first limited edition A, first limited edition B, and regular edition, and will be for the debut single “A” BEGINNING”, second single “Gotta Be”, and the nationwide sweets delivery service “CAKE LINK”, which serves as the image character. In addition to “Colorful Days,” which has also been used in the song, the band song “Ae You Ready?” written and composed by member Sano Akiya, “Banzai Desco” provided by Hyadain, also known as Maeyamada Kenichi, and “No. 66 Time to shine! It contains a total of 13 songs, including a variety of new songs, including “AKAN,” a singer-songwriter Ayumu Imazu, who won the Project Award at the Japan Record Awards, and features a wide variety of new songs, including “AKAN,” which has a sense of its hometown of Osaka roots everywhere. The regular edition includes a total of 14 songs, including the self-introduction song of Ae! Group, which was reprinted for this album, “We’re Ae! Group, right!!!!” It will be recorded.
As a bonus footage, the first limited edition A includes the newly shot Music and Making Video of the new songs “Hello” and “Colorful Days”, as well as Music Videos of “《A》BEGINNING” and “Gotta Be”. The first limited edition B includes the acoustic arrangement sessions and making-of footage of Ae! Group’s popular songs “A BEGINNING”, “Aetheodoru”, and “Happy Waysemon.”, as well as the “Behind” that closely follows the behind-the-scenes of the artwork shoot for this work. Includes The Scenes of “DNA””. As a first-come, first-served, external bonus, first-served edition A has an A5 size clear file, and first-served edition B has a shoulder strap, which can be sandwiched between the smartphone and the case. The phone tab is available, and the regular edition comes with a sticker sheet with cute character designs from the members on a first come, first served basis.
To commemorate the release of this work, a release commemorative event and a show-off event will be held in Tokyo and Osaka. Those who apply with the serial number listed on the back of the obi attached to the CD case can participate in a lottery. The event will also be streamed at a later date, and you can also watch bonus videos that are format-specific using the same serial number. In addition, live YouTube streaming will be held from around 8pm on Tuesday, February 18th.
Ae! group will be holding an arena tour “Ae! group LIVE TOUR 2025 DNA” featuring 30 performances in seven cities across the country, starting with Osaka Castle Hall on Friday, February 28th.
