Brazilian DJ/producer VHOOR will hold their first Japanese performance

Brazilian DJ/producer VHOOR will be holding an Asian tour in March, and it has also been decided that he will be performing in Japan for the first time.

VHOOR’s music career expanded worldwide after his activities at SoundCloud. In the mid-2010s, he established a new style of Bailefanki called “Chill Baile” along with young Brazilian producers, which had a major impact on the Brazilian music scene.

The collaboration album “Baile” with rapper FBC, released in 2021, was a huge hit in Brazil and was certified as a gold disc. This success led to the development of the underground and pop scene. He was subsequently selected to appear in global festivals and labels such as Primavera Sound, Sónar, and Boiler Room. In particular, the set on “Boiler Room” boasts one of the most viewed Brazilian artists. VHOOR continues to explore new possibilities in global electronic music, while still maintaining Brazilian musical roots. His music continues to innovate the club scene.

The Japanese performance will be held at Nagoya Club GOODWEATHER on Wednesday, March 19th (the day before a national holiday), and at TOKYO CIRCUS in Shibuya on Thursday, March 20th (the national holiday). The Nagoya performance will be hosted by club GOODWEATHER and CRAZY-T, while the Tokyo performance will be hosted by Bailefunki Kakeko.
