The idol group STU48 attends the 30th anniversary event for the declaration of International Peace City Chiyoda Ward, and is a message song to pray for peace: “Who belongs to? ‘ was sung by Yokoyama Daisuke and students from Kojimachi Junior High School.
STU48 will be holding the 30th anniversary event for the Chiyoda Ward Declaration of International Peace City held at Hulic Hall in Tokyo today, February 28th (Friday).
Ishida Chiho, Okada Azumi, Ozaki Seirika, Takao Sayaka, Nakamura Mai, and Harada Kiyoka were present. At the first part of the ceremony, which received video messages from Hiroshima Mayor Matsui Kazumi and Nagasaki Mayor Suzuki Shiro, the city of Nagasaki Mayor Suzuki, said, “We will talk about peace and the generations.”
With the theme of “Let’s talk beyond,” together with Mayor Higuchi and representatives of the Peace Envoy, Ishida Chiho and Okada Azumi from Hiroshima Prefecture from STU48, and Ozaki Serika from Nagasaki Prefecture exchanged opinions along with several talk themes. Regarding “Inheriting the Memory of War,” As we are now being asked how people who have actually experienced the atomic bombings being exposed to the atomic bombs will inherit and teach them their memories as they are older, what is the memory of war that has been deeply engraved within them? When asked, “When I was a student, I met the choir’s Himawari, who is active as a storyteller in peace learning. The most important thing I was able to do was pass on to the next generation. What I can do now is to become a wide range of generations through idol activities, through idol activities, and a wide range of generations to think about the misery of war and the familiar peace. When you have the opportunity to visit Nagasaki Prefecture, I would like you to look at the scars left in modern towns such as the one-pole torii gates at Sanno Shrine, trees exposed to atomic bombs, and air-raid shelters.” “I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and since I was a child, I have been studying peace and peace, and as an idol, I would like to express my wishes and gratitude for this award.” Okada wrote about the award from the Nippon Chidan Kyokai, “As a native of Hiroshima Prefecture, I have a sense of respect and gratitude for this award in words. In Hiroshima Prefecture, I have a familiar environment for learning about peace and war from a young age. Through this award, I hope that the thoughts of the atomic bomb survivors will reach us, the younger generations and all around the world, and that there will be more time to think about peace throughout the world.”
At the second part of the Peace Concert, Ishida Chiho, Okada Azumi, Ozaki Seirika, Takao Sayaka, Nakamura Mai and Harada Kiyoka, on behalf of STU48, brought smiles to their singing performances. In addition, as a VTR message from Akimoto Yasushi, the lyricist of the STU48 8th single Wishing for Peace, “Who is Flower?”, a choral version of “Who is Flower?”, with Yokoyama Daisuke and students from Kojimachi Junior High School, was delivered to the audience. I have once again learned that peace is not something that someone can create, but that we are created by each and every one of us wishing for peace, and that peace and a smile are essential to achieving our dreams towards the future.
