The three-member alternative rock band Texas 3000 released their new single “Other” today, Wednesday, March 5th.
This album includes two title tracks, “Other,” featuring Dos Monos’s lost aka NGS, and “There’s Still Time,” written by bassist Kirin, which is filled with saudage reminiscent of bossa nova. Texas 3000 and Aka NGS co-starred with Aka NGS at the independent project “Practice #3” held at Namba BEARS in Osaka in spring 2023. The members felt sympathy in the performance and work that looked like nightmare from AKA NGS, and the film gave off a sense of hope, and the passionate desire to “if I’m writing a featured song, I’d like to start with doing it with him.” This song is exquisitely intertwined with emotional rap and experimental instrumental sounds.
This work has a strong contrast between alternative rap and minimal acoustics. This single has a unique “alternative” edge that is unique to the Texas 3000.
In addition, Texas 3000 will be holding the “WEIRD DREAMS FOREVER TOUR” from April. Tours around six locations: Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, Seoul, and Busan.
