It has been announced that a three-dimensional acoustic installation for Goto Masafumi’s drone/ambient album “Recent Report I,” released in March last year.
This project will be held over three days from Friday, March 28th to Sunday, March 30th. This is an opportunity to experience the audiovisual installations using the three-dimensional sound of “Recent Report I” at RITTOR BASE in Ochanomizu, Tokyo and the footage produced for this time, in two different three-dimensional sound reproduction environments: “Dolby Atmos” and “8ch Cube” respectively.
The Dolby Atmos episode plays the Dolby Atmos master file, and the 8ch Cube episode plays the optimized version of “8ch Cube+2.1ch” in “RITTOR BASE” using “FLUX:: Spat Revolution Ultimate”. You can enjoy each of the distinctive listening experiences.
The video was produced by the team of Teleport, a generator AI platform that produced the music video for the album’s song “Lost in Time” released last September. A special footage just for this exhibition will be shown for the first time. Tickets are on sale from 18:00 today.
“Recent Report I,” titled “Recent Report” is an album that has been sublimated into a work by Goto Masafumi himself, with all his fieldwork, performances and recordings. Inspired by Sakamoto Ryuichi, who was involved in the production of his second solo album “Gotch, Good New Times,” and the music event “NO NUKES,” he was involved in the production of Gotch’s second solo album, “Good New Times,” and the work is packed with Goto’s energy, passion and ideas.

RITTOR BASE’s three-dimensional sound reproduction system is 2.1ch + 8ch Cube. The 2.1ch has a cube speaker arrangement with a front LR and a subwoofer, while the 8ch Cube has a cube speaker arrangement with a lower 4ch square and an upper 4ch square. When playing Dolby Atmos, decode it to 7.1.6ch using an AV amplifier and map it to a 2.1ch + 8ch Cube speaker arrangement.
