A new music event, “Rooted in Rhythm: Hare, Ke, and Ne” will begin on Saturday, March 22nd, at Misaki Donut Misaki Main Store in Misaki, Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
This event is produced by “toki HQ,” hosted by photographer Watanabe Jun and ceramic artist/dyeing artist Yamaguchi Mio, and is a series project that brings music that ties into Miura Misaki’s climate and everyday life. The event will be held with the cooperation of Fujisawa Hiromitsu, a music producer who works with the Kamome Children’s Choir, as well as Misaki Donuts and Misaki Presso.
Togo Kiyomaru will be the memorable first artist to appear in. Togo Kiyomaru from SSW enrichs the “everyday scenery” with his own unique words and music. The music, which delicately resonates with the “hare” and “ke” that exist in our daily lives, deeply resonates with the concept of this event.
The promotional art for this event was co-written by graphic designer Osawa Yudai and photographer Watanabe Jun. Once printed, the poster was taken in the scenery and finished using the photograph. It expresses the worldview not only in terms of music but also in terms of visuals.
This event will be held continuously as a series. As the events continue, they will become connected with Miura Misaki’s local culture and community, while also considering collaborating with artists and fusion with artists from different fields.
[Concept/Message]
Japanese lifestyle and culture
The “hare (an extraordinary festival)” and “ke (daily activities)” have been nurtured in a rich way through the gentle passage of time.
A day of joy and excitement.
It’s a quiet day of casual keen.
Our days are woven together as the two intersect and resonate.
However, in order for Hare and Ke to continue deeper and richer than simply repeating it,
We need to support, connect and nurture them.
That is “ne (root).”
“Ne” is
-It creates the foundation for culture and lifestyles so that plants can firmly root in the soil.
-The spring water slowly traverses the strata, and eventually matures over time, leading to the next hare and ke.
– Just like music resonates, it creates the rhythm of people’s hearts, even if it is not visible to the eyes.
This is what I put into the name of this event, “Hare, Ke and Ne.”
The English title, “Rooted in Rhythm,” represents the deep roots of culture in the rhythms of daily life and music.
This event is not just a special time, nor is it just an extension of daily life.
May this be a moment of gentle support and fulfillment of your heart, just like “ne.”
The sound that emerged here slowly blends into everyday life,
I hope to nurture new Hare and Ke again.
