Harun Snemuri announced that she will release her new album, “ekkolaptómenos” on Friday, August 1st on her own label, Ecoraptomenos. In addition, the pre-single single “anointment” was released today, Friday, March 7th.
This is the first release of the independent label, and the experience and knowledge accumulated through extensive musical activities have been systematized, giving the impression that we are entering a new phase. Since their second full album, Haruka Yahara (2022), Haru Sleemuri has been actively involved in production and live performances, including collaborating with various foreign artists, the release of the EP INSAINT (2023), which is a full-length band set recording, and live tours both domestically and internationally. This work is completely self-produced and is said to allow you to enjoy her worldview even more.
The ritual “anointment – anointment” has historically been used to secure and fix the power values of those in power, but spring sleep here raises questions about the very structure that holds it from within the ritual. Spring sleep has continued to perpetuate destruction and rebirth as a major theme, but the symphony of “destruction” and “rebirth” that attempt to crack the system that defines sacred and abomination, strong and weak, brings a new resonance.
