Wau singer Julia Takada releases her second EP “You & I” that expresses her life-size appearance

Julia Takada released her second EP, “You & I,” today, Wednesday, March 12th.

Julia Takada is a singer affiliated with the Creative Collective/label wau. This album contains a total of six songs, including four singles released in 2024, as well as new recordings of “ASCENDING,” featuring Franco Reid, a producer based in LA, Wisp, Tanukichan, and other channels, and the title song, “You & I.” This work depicts the life-size human being Julia Takada.

The title song, “You & I,” is a storytelling-like storytelling storytelling that tells you what you think of your own feelings. The song gradually added an acoustic guitar and upright piano, making it a song with a grand atmosphere unique to the 6/8th time.

[Julia Takada Comment]

I wrote “You & I” with the lyrics in mind of a precious friend who I have been friends with since I was a teenager.

It contains messages such as, “I hope they realize how special you are” and “Even if you’re far apart, you’re your best ally.” And I’m very pleased to be able to release the second EP this time!

It’s been a little over a year since the first EP, but I’ve put my own lyrics and melody into another new song, “ASCENDING.” Please listen.
