Orisaka Yuta will release his new song, “To the Okita,” today, Wednesday, March 12th. A lyric video was also released.
In 2024, Orisaka Yuta released his first album in three years, “Juuu,” and successfully performed at festivals and toured halls both in Japan and abroad. In April, he will also be hosting his first string quartet, and will hold a hall performance called “Waltz of the Undead” with a total of 11 musicians.
This song features the strings squad that will be participating in the hall performance, and is based on the theme of spring departure. In addition to the string squartet consisting of Hatano Atsuko (1st Violin, String arrangements), Suzuki Eyuko (2nd Violin), Kakutani Naoko (Viola.), and Iwao Yumiko (Cello.), yatchi (Pf.) and Yamauchi Kota (EG.) participated. Recording and mixing was done by Toki Ayaka, and mastering was done by Yamazaki Tsubasa (Flugel Mastering). The artwork was a ripped-back picture by Orisaka himself, and the design was done by Suzuki Sei.
This is the song where Orisaka himself plays the mandolin and takes the lead, singing with great force, “I’m here.” The song is a song that lightly snuggles up, sometimes calmly and sometimes powerfully inspires, and sends cheers to all those who continue to walk.
In addition, tickets remain for the hall performance “Waltz of the Undead” to be held at Shibuya NHK Hall in Tokyo on Friday, April 4th and at Osaka The Symphony Hall on Friday, April 11th. If you’re interested, hurry up.
