DOGO’s work “TV, Dramatic,” released last year, will be reissued as a CD distributed in Japan on Wednesday, April 2nd.
DOGO was born in 2021 as a fictional rock band by Yokoyama Takemaro, who was born in 1999 and worked as a jazz musician in Chicago from 2018 to 2023. They began live performances as a four-member band in November last year, and their current live members are Takemaro (Vo./Ba.), Ishii Shunsai (Communication), Daigimi Umi (Dr.), and Sano (Gt.).
“TV, Dramatic” was performed by Takemaro alone, from writing, composing, mixing and mastering, and recorded using five iPhones. It is essentially the first album and is the only sound source at the moment, and although analog records and CDs were released exclusively through Bandcamp, they have already sold out. It is currently difficult to obtain. The CD version released this time is different from the order and number of songs released on the streaming series.
This year, DOGO will appear at Music Lane Okinawa 2025, an international showcase festival in Koza, Okinawa. On Saturday, March 22nd, she will be performing with Heaven Injection and Le Makeup at “Calm & Composed” held at SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO in Tokyo. In addition, in May, it has also been decided to be a support act for the British free jazz/post-punk band MARUJA’s visit to Japan.
He also participated in the live audio/video content “REIMEI SESSION” run by “Studio Reimei”, run by SAGO (SAGOSAID). The film is scheduled to be released on Friday, April 25th.
