Saba, a famous Chicago rapper and leader of Pivot Gang, certified RIAA Gold Disc, and No ID, the Grammy Award-winning super producer and nicknamed “Chicago Hip-Hop’s Godfather,” have completed the joint album. The album “From The Private Collection Of Saba And No ID” by the two teams will be released by ARTium Recordings/Pivot Gang Records, LLC.

Media such as Complex, Vulture, HipHopDX and Brooklyn Vegan were among the first to praise them. The album “From The Private Collection Of Saba And No ID” is one of the most anticipated new releases of 2025. The meeting of hip-hop veterans has expanded from their original mixtape schedule to an album containing 15 songs. A collection of works has been created that rap fans across generations can relate to.

The journey to completion of this film was long and intricate for the two of them, and it wasn’t necessarily a straight line. He started out as a mixtape production, followed by mountains of demonstrations, months of reconsideration, and then returned to square one. But they had no hesitation if necessary. As a result, the album was completed, which has been loved by rap fans across generations. Not only is it technically superior, it also has a deep theme that cuts deep into the spirit of Saba, giving it an irresistible dynamism.

A year ago, the two thought the project had been completed, but Sabah’s loss of his uncle forced him to reconsider.

“He’s the one who made me crazy about hip-hop,” Sabah said.

“I was made to open up to try again. I had to do a lot of dialogue with myself, which was something I needed for a long time.”

The supple flow from the hilarious opening song “Every Painting Has A Price,” to the playful “Breakdown,” to “Woes Of The World” to “head.rap,” is very naturally brought out using hair as a metaphor for the passage of time. The album is packed with style and wit, and the No ID gives off an extraordinary skill. The beat of “BIG PICTURE” matches the motif of the mackerel’s spreading photo. The lyrics, which combine naturalism and nostalgia, create a wonderful scene. Just hearing the hypnotic beat of the short interlude “Reciprocity” is clear about their outstanding talent.

While creating this project, the two have also achieved notable results. In early 2024, Sabah appeared on Valee & Harry Fraud’s “Watermelon Automobile.” Shortly afterwards he released “Don’t Check 4 Me” with Nascent and Duckwrth.

On the other hand, No ID co-produced “American Requiem,” which was included in Beyoncé’s latest album, “COWBOY CARTER,” which won the Grammy Award for Best Album, with John Batiste and numerous genius hitmakers. He has secured his position as one of the most influential producers in the music scene. He also served as the executive producer of Killer Mike’s sixth studio album, MICHAEL, and his track “Scientists & Engineers” won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song.

■Saba profile:

A successful indie artist, Sabah has built a career as one of the most important and unique voices of all rappers of his generation, based on solid trust and musicality. He recently participated in Chance the Rapper’s “Acid Rap Anniversary” show held at United Center Arena in Chicago, performed at Coachella, and toured America, Europe and Africa with the album Few Good Things. Last year, Spotify’s “30 classic hip-hop and R&B albums” featured his highly acclaimed album, CARE FOR ME, along with Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and Tyler the Creator, and his huge signs appeared in the streets of Los Angeles and New York.

Saba began making music at the age of nine, and began writing and producing songs from the early adolescence. She built a recording studio in her grandmother’s basement in western Chicago and formed the Pivot Gang with her neighbors. It was featured in the collaboration album “Revenge Of The Dreamers III” released by J. Cole’s Dreamville in 2019, and Saba was certified as RIAA Gold for the first time with the number “Sacrifices.” That same year, he formed Midwestern supergroup Ghetto Sage along with Noname and Smino, and released his debut song, “Häagen Dazs.” In 2022, she was certified as RIAA Gold for the second time with her single “Photosynthesis,” released in 2016.
