SWEET STEADY performs two unreleased songs at their first solo event! Their colorful and cute worldview captivates fans

Idol group SWEET STEADY held a one-month debut anniversary event at Shirokane Takanawa SELENE b2 on Saturday, April 13th.

SWEET STEADY is a new idol group born from “KAWAII LAB.”, a project that promotes Japanese idol culture to the world, and includes FRUITS ZIPPER and others. The group, which consists of eight members, Ayame Okuda, Yui Otoi, Natsuka Kurita, Riyo Shiokawa, Mayumi Shiraishi, Nagisa Shoji, Mia Yanagawa, and Sakina Yamauchi, is like a bouquet of “cute (SWEET)” girls, and the group’s name expresses the desire for them to grow “steadily (STEADY)” one step at a time as they gain various experiences. Since their debut, they have been a hot topic among idol fans, who have said that their looks are “too strong.”

This event, which celebrates their first month since their debut, sold out tickets in just one minute after they went on general sale, and is the group’s first solo event. In an atmosphere filled with excitement, the group kicked off with their debut song “Hajimari no Aizu,” and for the second song, they performed “Nante ne!”, which was just released on Friday, April 5th, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

During the MC, Otoi greeted the audience with a lively attitude, saying, “I was really looking forward to today.” In addition, Okuda introduced the new costumes that were unveiled for the first time at this performance, saying, “They’re cute with lots of frills.”

The surprise was not only the new costumes, but also the announcement that a new song would be performed for the first time. They performed the cute pop tune “Sweet Cafe” that is typical of SWEET STEADY, giving the fans at the venue a sweet moment that felt like a cafe date.

With the same momentum, the members performed “Heart Magic” released last month, running around the stage in all directions. Furthermore, for the new song “Michishirube” released on Sunday, April 14th, they put their cute image aside and performed a sharp dance performance, overwhelming the audience. They showed their determination to push forward powerfully on stage.

With the excitement still high, the venue’s voltage rose even more when it was announced that they would be debuting another new song. The cute and exciting performance of their new song “Call me, tell me,” featuring a humming-inducing melody and easy-to-follow choreography, had the audience so excited that it was hard to believe it was their first time performing it.

At the end, Yamauchi promised the fans, “Let’s all stay together forever,” and performed the first song, “Hajimari no Aiuzu,” again. This time, SWEET STEADY had the first video shoot, and fans were glued to the members through their smartphones. This was shared on social media with the hashtag “#Suisute,” so be sure to check it out.

After finishing all the performances, Yanagawa teared up and said, “I’m so happy that I was able to meet so many people through this group of eight.” Shoji also spoke passionately about his first solo live show on Sunday, June 9th, saying, “I want to make everyone who comes to the venue happy,” and ended his first solo event with a big round of applause.

Despite only being a month old, SWEET STEADY showed off their colorful and unique side, just like a bouquet of flowers. Anticipation is building for their first solo live performance at EX THEATER ROPPONGI on Sunday, June 9th, and for the beautiful and lovely idols they will blossom into in the future.
