The dance and vocal unit “JUICYJUICY”, formed by finalists at the audition exclusively for Okinawa residents held in 2021 by Asobi System, which is home to artists active both domestically and internationally, such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, New School Leaders, and FRUITS ZIPPER, will debut today, Friday, May 16th, 2025. They released their digital single “HeyWorld What’s Up.”
JUICY JUICY is a dance and vocal unit for active junior and senior high school students with an average age of 14 (as of May 2025), consisting of four members: Hirara Sana (14), Higa Saara (13), Ima Reiri (15), and Kamima Ami (14). The group name comes from the rice “juicy” made from Okinawa’s local cuisine, and was named with the desire to become a group loved by people of all ages and genders by combining various personalities together.
“HeyWorld What’s Up,” released today, is being provided by YUKI JOLLY ROGER, who has been a member of BENNIE K since 2001 and is now a composer/sound producer. The song is refreshing yet nostalgic, with a pleasant sound that adds the essence of a Heisei hit song, and the bright and positive energy of these songs reaches listeners’ hearts.
