CANDY TUNE starts pre-release distribution of “Laid Back Journey” from their first single CD “Kiss Me Patissier”! Tracks included in each version also revealed

CANDY TUNE, who celebrated their first anniversary since the group’s formation and held their first nationwide tour, recently successfully held the tour finale at Toyosu PIT, the largest in the group’s history, will release their first single CD “Kiss Me Patissier” on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Ahead of the CD release, the track “Laid Back Journey” was released today, Wednesday, June 19, and the tracks included in each version of the single have been released.

“Laid Back Journey” is a cover song by the artist Kimi no Ne. CANDY TUNE decided to cover this song after appearing in the music video for Kimi no Ne’s “Laid Back Journey”. Kimi no Ne’s “Laid Back Journey” is the opening theme for the TV anime “Laid Back Camp SEASON 3”, and the music video is being talked about on social media because it was shot against the backdrop of Bentenjima Seaside Park and Nagisaen, where Shima Rin, one of the main characters, visited in the TV anime “Laid Back Camp SEASON 2”. The jacket of CANDY TUNE’s “Laid Back Journey” shows the seven members enjoying camping in the same outfits as in the Kimi no Ne music video, so be sure to check it out along with the music video.

The single CD “Kiss Me Patissier” will be sold in four formats: First Press, CANDY, TUNE, and regular editions, all of which will include “Double Fight!”, but the other songs will vary depending on the format. The first press will include the previously released “Laid Back Journey” and “Etoseto LOVE YOU,” which was performed at the finale of the 1st anniversary live tour, while the CANDY version will include “Hissatsu Azato Pose,” which became a hot topic on TikTok due to the members’ cutesy poses, the TUNE version will include the addictive popular song “Bokuwareba Mu Mondai,” which you’ll find yourself humming along to, and the regular version will include “Etoseto LOVE YOU.”

CANDY TUNE

A seven-member idol group born from Asobisystem’s idol project “KAWAII LAB.” The members are Murakawa Hian, Kirihara Mizuki, Fukuyama Rino, Ogawa Nanako, Minami Natsu, Miyano Shizuka, and Tachibana Kotomi.

The producer is Misa Kimura, a model and talent who is the former leader of Musubizm and general producer of “KAWAII LAB.” With KAWAII LAB.’s motto of “From Harajuku to the World” in mind, they will forge ahead with a “NEW WAY” from Harajuku, the fashion town that is the epicenter of diverse culture and where individuality comes together.

The group’s name reflects their hope that the diverse members, with different likes and personalities, like the various flavors and shapes of CANDY, will come together to play their pop “TUNE.”
