Tokyo-based creative gal collective bala released their first EP “bala-llel world” on Friday, April 19th.

Aiming to form a loose association of female artists/creators who are active in the youth culture scene, we are developing activities that go beyond music, and our lyrics include LIl’ Leise But Gold, Yuppa (HNC), music videos and graphics. Many respected female artists and creators will participate, including YUKARI, 0CM (Mana Ohno), Hana Watanabe, and danbabeboo. The members themselves are in charge of CG graphics and MV editing, with KANO editing the EP jacket graphics, and MANON editing the MV for the lead song “LIKE THAT”, which was released at the same time as this EP release. The video is overflowing with peaceful vibes, embodying the song’s theme of “friendship.”

bala is a team of female artists and creators based in Tokyo. Each of them embodies the current Japanese street culture and pop culture, while transmitting a new generation of J-POP that resonates with the global music scene. We aim to be a presence that empowers creative gals in Japan.
