Asobisystem’s idol project “KAWAII LAB.” has announced the launch of a new idol group. The group will have its debut live performance at the “KAWAII LAB. Stage,” which will also feature FRUITS ZIPPER, at the world’s largest idol festival “TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2024 (TIF2024),” to be held at Odaiba on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
“KAWAII LAB.” is a project that aims to spread the idol culture that has continued to grow in Japan to the world with the concept of “From Harajuku to the World”. The general producer is Misa Kimura, a former idol who was a member of “Musubizm” and is currently active as a model and talent.
The project aims to discover, nurture and produce idols who can be active on the world stage, and its members include FRUITS ZIPPER, who won the Best New Artist Award at the Japan Record Awards last year and held a two-day anniversary concert at Nippon Budokan in May to celebrate their second anniversary since their formation; CANDY TUNE, who will release their first single CD “Kiss Me Patissier” on Wednesday, August 7th; SWEET STEADY, who successfully held their first solo concert at EX THEATER ROPPONGI in June, just three months after their debut; and KAWAII LAB. MATES, who are currently taking lessons with the aim of making their idol debut.
Today, it was announced that the new group will be unveiled at the KAWAII LAB. Stage at the idol festival “TIF2024” to be held at Odaiba on Sunday, August 4th.
FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, and SWEET STEADY are scheduled to perform on the “KAWAII LAB. Stage,” and a total of four groups, including the new group, will liven up the stage. Don’t miss the first performance of this promising new star born from “KAWAII LAB.”, which is gaining support in the idol scene. Tickets for “TIF2024” are now on general sale.
