Recently, Asobisystem’s idol project “KAWAII LAB.” announced the launch of a new idol group and that they will hold a debut live performance at the idol festival “TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2024 (hereinafter referred to as TIF2024)” to be held at Odaiba on Sunday, August 4th. Today, a group shot of the eight members of the new idol group “CUTIE STREET” was released.
The members of “CUTIE STREET” are Furusawa Risa, Sano Aika, Itakura Kana, Masuda Ayano, Kawamoto Eru, Umeda Miyu, Manabe Nagisa, and Sakuraba Haruka. The eight members were gathered after several months of performance screening and audition training camps. The members have different backgrounds, such as influencers, actresses, idols, dancers, and students, and will use their respective experiences to work as an idol group.
The group name “CUTIE STREET” conveys the idea that “we can become any me (CUTIE), we can go anywhere (STREET),” and that we want both the girls and those who are with them to find the person they want to be.
The group’s concept is “KAWAII MAKER.” The eight members, all of different ages and backgrounds, are “KAWAII MAKERs” who will spread the “KAWAII” they create from Harajuku to the world. The group shot released is based on the concept of “KAWAII MAKER” and was shot under the supervision of the magazine “LARME.” The visual is full of the cuteness of each of the eight members in their own way.
The group will make their first public appearance on the KAWAII LAB. stage at the idol festival “TIF2024” to be held at Odaiba on Sunday, August 4th, where they will liven up the stage alongside fellow KAWAII LAB. idol groups FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, and SWEET STEADY.
Furthermore, “KAWAII LAB. SESSION Vol.10 ~CUTIE STREET~” will be held at Ebisu The Garden Hall on Sunday, September 8th. KAWAII LAB. members FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, SWEET STEADY, and KAWAII LAB. MATES, who will be unveiling their new lineup on the day, are scheduled to appear at this event, and advance ticket sales will start on Thursday, August 1st.
