FRUITS ZIPPER, who belongs to Asobi System’s idol project “KAWAII LAB.”, will hold the final performance of their first national hall tour “FRUITS ZIPPER JAPAN TOUR 2024 – AUTUMN – THE STORY OF SEVEN COLORS” on December 16, 2024 (Monday). ) at the Tokyo Garden Theater. This tour was so well received that it recorded a total attendance of about 40,000 people, and the group has steadily stepped up with stops at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in October last year and Nippon Budokan in May this year, and is looking forward to the group’s growth in 2024. It was a tour that confirmed this.
After the opening video tells the story of “the birth of seven princesses in a small kingdom,” the members appear on an arched staircase set up on stage that looks like something from a fairy tale castle. The live performance began with “Niji,” which was performed for the first time at the Nippon Budokan performance where the tour was surprisingly announced. The seven members, wearing princess-style dresses in the members’ colors, looked around the audience seats with confident expressions, as if reconciling their decision made about six months ago to “aim to be more than idols.” I savored the moment.
She changed from a luxurious dress to an idol outfit and then performed “Chasing Your Bright Future”. The Garden Theater was already transformed into a dance floor during the “Repezen Harajuku” party time at “Pure Ainza World”, with an MC welcoming the Furuppa (fans’ name), who were packed from the first floor seats to the stands. In a complete turn of events, the intro of “Kimikoi”, which was delivered after the MC looking back on the tour, drew cheers, and the song was sung softly, overlapping the unwavering bond with Furuppa, who has been with each other to this day and has a mutual love for each other.
In the middle of the main story, “Pinky Red!” by Amane Tsukisari and Karen Matsumoto, also known as the “Amaren sisters,” “Bye-Bye” by Ruka Nakagawa and Noel Hayase, and “Tenshin” by Suzuka Chinzai, Yui Sakurai, and Mana Manaka. “Ranman” and performed unit songs in quick succession. The songs highlighted each individual’s unique characteristics, highlighting the high level of performance skills and individuality of each member. During Karen Matsumoto’s solo song “Super Karen Time,” the entire venue was transfixed by her dainty movements around the stage.
The seven members, who had changed into new costumes made of rainbow-colored fabric, gathered on stage again, and Yui Sakurai’s powerful call, “Everyone! Please dance in your cutest way at the tour final!” “My cutest part!” ” and then kicks things up with their customary self-introduction song “Uelkamutuza♡Furuppa!”. And in the coupling song “Starlight Valkyrie” of the 2nd single CD “NEW KAWAII / Fruits Basket”, she showed a new frontier with her frail and melancholy expression like a marionette, and her powerful dance and vocals.
At the end of the main story, the group’s synonymous song “Fruits Basket” has members’ colored psylliums shining freshly. Then, during the “Chomedeta Song”, “Super Happy Song ~Is it okay to be this happy?~”, each member’s calls were loud, and with cheers of “Congratulations!”, they shared the special elation of the tour finale. . Then, in order to embody FRUITS ZIPPER’s concept of “From Harajuku to the world,” they performed “NEW KAWAII,” which has been sung on numerous stages in 2024. Colored tape in seven colors was sprayed, creating a grand finale.
During the encore, the members sang “Fruits Basket” for the second time today, getting very close to the audience seats, and then they joined the “FRUITS ZIPPER 3rd ANNIVERSARY Super Congratulatory Live”, which had already been announced to be held at Saitama Super Arena, in Kobe. It was surprisingly announced that there would be two additional performances at World Memorial Hall, and the venue was filled with joy, both on stage and in the audience seats. Then, “NEW KAWAII” was delivered again as if looking back on their activities in 2024, and the show ended with each of the seven members announcing their NEW KAWAII episodes. Their first national hall tour, which included 15 performances in 12 cities nationwide, including additional performances, has come to an end.
During the final MC, Mana Manaka expressed that she was nervous about holding the longest tour of three months, but added, “Every time we stand on stage, everyone cheers for us and gives us a lot of power.” “If I can make everyone happy and smile like this, I want to continue on stage even if I have setbacks,” she said, tearfully expressing her gratitude. 2025 will also be filled with FRUITS ZIPPER’s fan club tour and arena performance to commemorate their 3rd anniversary.
