On the 16th, actors Yuki Nakayama and Keishi Arai appeared on stage at a preview screening of the movie “Fast Break” held in Tokyo.
This is a youth film about high school students who dedicate everything to basketball.
The main character, Kusamura Hayato, who graduated from junior high school and graduated from delinquency, joins the basketball club at his high school, which was in danger of being disbanded due to a lack of members. He practices hard because he wants to play basketball, and gathers the members to participate in an official game. Just as it was decided that he would participate, Sunto’s past fight was discovered and he was suspended from the basketball club. The story revolves around the actions of Sunto, who wants to protect his fellow basketball club members.
The two are teammates on the private Minenan Daisan High School basketball club.
Nakayama will play Danzuka Muga, and Arai will play Kadono Shinnosuke.
Tickets for this day were sold out on the same day, as it was a stage greeting gathering of young actors who are currently attracting attention. When the cast members appeared at the lively venue, the audience erupted into loud applause and cheers.
During the crosstalk, since this film’s theme is “youth,” each of the speakers was asked, “What was the scene in the filming that made you feel youthful?” Nakayama mentioned the running scene and answered, “Yo. There’s always someone who flies when they say “Don’t do it!” and he says, “We were laughing and telling each other, ‘Don’t do it next time!’ That was my youth.” He seems to have felt it.
Arai, who is the youngest among the speakers, began by saying, “I don’t think people get yelled at as much when they grow up.” He said that although he himself is an experienced basketball player, he plays the role of a manager in the film, so he said, “I don’t think I get yelled at as much when I’m an adult.” “When I was younger, I really wanted to play basketball, but it was hot in the summer and I got scolded by my seniors for not playing because I was sweating,” he said.
Next, when asked about the role he would like to play in the future, Nakayama, the oldest of the speakers, said, “I want to see how old I can wear a uniform,” and asked the youngest, Arai, “How old?” When I asked Arai, “I’m 25 years old,” he said, “There are 8 different ones. I was surprised.” He seemed surprised that he played the role of a high school student.
When Arai said, “I want to grow a beard and play a really bad role,” the host chimed in, “With your looks, you’d be great for a bad role.” Arai smiled and said, “I want to graduate from my sweet face as soon as possible.”
In addition to Nakayama and Arai, the main actors Motoki Nakazawa, Gaku Oshida, Ryota Kobayashi, Riki Tanimi, Tomohiro Okutani, Yoharu Kyoyama, and director Toru Hasegawa took to the stage to liven up the audience gathered at the theater.
