Singer-songwriter Ai Otsuka will hold her first solo exhibition at Tokyo’s Spiral Garden (Spiral 1F) this July.

Ai Otsuka made her debut in 2003. She has produced many hit songs such as “Cherry” and “Planetarium,” and has demonstrated her multi-talented talents not only as an artist, but also in providing music, producing picture books, illustrating, and contributing novels. .
As an artist, he has established a unique presence.

Last September marked the 20th anniversary of his debut, and on September 9, Otsuka’s own birthday, he held an anniversary and birthday live at Hibiya Park Concert Hall (commonly known as Yaon), making the milestone live spectacular. Decorated.
In recent years, he has also been active as an illustrator and picture book author, and started oil painting in earnest in 2019. In addition, she has been actively engaged in creative creations such as calligraphy and flower arranging.

This will be Otsuka’s first solo exhibition, but in 2021 and 2022 he will participate in a special exhibition with the theme of “music” and “art” called “e to oto to…~ART×MUSIC~”.
He exhibits his extraordinary talent in a variety of ways, exhibiting oil paintings and canvas art, all of which have sold out.

Otsuka released a comment regarding the decision to hold his first solo exhibition. “Having been creating works using words and melodies for over 20 years, I have come to the point where I wanted to subdivide and express the scenery that can be seen through melodies and the spiritual energy that can be seen through words. I hope you’ll come and see the story.” He revealed that he has cultivated this through both his music and art activities.

The oil paintings, calligraphy, and other works on display are said to be based on Otsuka’s own songs, and all but a few of the works will be sold, and the paintings will also be turned into NFTs.
This will be an opportunity for you to experience with your whole body the crystal-like works that Ai Otsuka has accumulated over the past 20 years of her career as an artist.

Additionally, a pamphlet for the solo exhibition will be sold at the venue, accompanied by Otsuka’s first complete piano/instrumental CD. (Also available at mumo shop from 7/17)
