The comedy event “Owarai-night Sensation ‘DJ KOO presents Chan KOO Comedy LIVE!! vol.1′”, organized by TRF’s leader DJ KOO, was held on December 2nd (Monday) at Session Suginami in Tokyo. Ru.
DJ KOO has the greatest love for comedy in the entertainment industry, having predicted the winner correctly on “M-1 Grand Prix” (ABC) and holding his own comedy event “DJ KOO Yose.” It is known for that.
The title of this live performance was decided based on KOO’s wish that “I want everyone to call me “Chan KOO” in a friendly manner.”
The cast includes Ryuji Akiyama (Robert), Hollywood Zakoshisho, and Mog Rider, who KOO is eager to see the story, hear the story, and talk about.

―Congratulations on holding “Chan KOO Comedy LIVE!! vol.1”!
KOO:thank you! The day is approaching.
-What made you decide to hold this event?
KOO：Anyway, I love comedy, so if you ask me who benefits, it’s only me, but I wanted to host a comedy live show myself, and live comedy shows are really interesting.
I really wanted everyone to see that raw explosive power. When I suffered a serious illness seven years ago, I realized how valuable it is to have fun and laugh, so I have a really strong desire to share that experience with as many people as possible!
-KOO-san, please tell us how you got into comedy.
KOO：After I actually appeared on a variety show and got to see comedians up close, I realized how amazing comedians are. I can be an MC, I can dance, I can do facial expressions, I can act, and I also do solo live performances. Of all the things you can do, comedy is definitely one of them, and since I started appearing in variety shows, I’ve grown to love it even more as I’ve felt the charm of it.
Also, there was a generational boom in manzai. I’ve experienced the manzai boom in real life around the time of B&B and Two Beat, and even earlier, I’ve experienced it in real life with Drifters, so comedy is closely connected to my daily life. That’s right. It had a huge influence on the tea room.
-What are your impressions of your co-stars?
KOO: Mr. Akiyama is already a genius, and he is genuinely interesting. I have appeared on TV programs and worked with them at planned events at NGK. Also, Akiyama-san really likes TRF. I’m from Kyushu, but when I came to Tokyo, I was encouraged by the words from “OVERNIGHT SENSATION”, “I’m entrusting the times to you.” One of the people who really loves TRF is Mr. Akiyama.
Hollywood Zakosi. Actually, I have formed a unit with Zakoshisho. I work in advertising, and I’m also good at serious singing. I had the impression that Mr. Zakosi was an exaggerated performer, but when we talked about various things while waiting, we found out that he is actually a very sensitive person, and he is very good at comedic philosophy and analytical skills, and the gap between them is really cool. That’s what I thought. That’s a lot of respect. If Mr. Zakosi were to become a judge for a race such as M-1, I think he would be a very accurate judge. That’s the kind of person I am. Everything is backed up, so I won’t leave it out, it’s all hilarious!
As for Mog Rider, I’ve always loved songs. We’ve been going on a bus tour together since last year, and DJ KOO will be dancing with Mog Rider, Pan, and looking for UFOs. He also went to Mt. Fuji to catch bugs, but in the end, he couldn’t find any bugs or UFOs, so he just went out and ate bread. But it’s much more interesting when they’re on the bus or looking for bugs, and they both have a great service spirit, and I like their personalities. Mr. Shiba’s great power is incredible. When we appeared on the Ogiri program as part of the same team, Shiba-san’s creativity and explosiveness were incredible. I’m also asking him to be the MC this time, but wouldn’t it be the best if he could be in charge of the live performance? There are two geniuses of different types. For example, wouldn’t it be like TRF and Kumi Koda performing live together? It’s a dream festival!
-Please tell us the highlights of this live performance.
KOO：First of all, there is no doubt that the material these three people have is absolutely interesting, but they are also young comedians. Mr. Darlings is not young, though. The purpose of ChanKOO Comedy LIVE is to create a vanguard that not only the main actors but also the people who say, “I’m definitely going to perform!” It’s an extravagant fantasy, but when I appear on Chan KOO Comedy LIVE, I’m so excited! I would like to create a live show like this. We also asked Mr. Akiyama and Mr. Zakoshi for recommendations. I’m also looking forward to seeing how much Harutai-san and Natural Born Yamazaki-san, who I’m seeing for the first time, will do their best!
Also, we are creating some corners, and I will be participating. I can’t do comedy, but even if I come in here and do whatever I want in the corner, they’ll definitely do something about it.

KOO: There are still many people who are having a hard time due to the effects of the coronavirus, but it has been a wonderful year with not only Tokyo but also various regions, including entertainment, being revitalized and revitalized.
