[Erina Nakazaki]Looking back on her acting career, which she called a turning point, “It was the moment when everything I had been building up until then exploded…”[卍 Reverse]

Actor and talent Erina Nakazaki appeared on stage to commemorate the release of the film “Manji Reverse” at Cinemart Shinjuku on the 25th.
He spoke at length about the appeal of this film, which has been much talked about due to Nakazaki’s passionate acting.

This film is a bold adaptation of “Manji,” a masterpiece of Tanizaki literature that frankly describes the abnormal and destructive love between men and women who become addicted to homosexuality and adultery. The setting has been changed to the present day and the genders of the characters from the original have been reversed.

After graduating from Chubbiness in 2019, Nakazaki began working as an actress. She has appeared in numerous stage productions, films and dramas, and made a name for herself by appearing on the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation’s “Aiseki Shokudo” at the end of last year. She has been active in a wide range of roles, including in the film “Kujira no Hone” and the dramas “Kamen Rider Zero-One” (EX) and “Anata ni Kikasetai Uta ga Arunda” (Hulu).

After the screening of “Manji Reverse,” Nakazaki took the stage at the theater dressed in a bright orange and navy dress and greeted the audience with her characteristic big smile, saying, “It’s a short time, but I hope it will be an enjoyable time! Thank you for your support!”

Nakazaki plays the role of lawyer Yayoi in this film, and said, “The role of Yayoi is probably the most normal one. As a lawyer, I felt that someone who had always valued morals until then suddenly fell into decline one day, and I felt a bit of fear that this could happen to me too.” It seems she was aware of the fear and difficulty of watching Yayoi change as the story progresses.
Nakazaki continued, “But throughout the filming I was constantly feeling the beauty of the concept of ‘love’ in this work,” he said, savoring the moment.

Nakazaki’s physical acting in this film is attracting attention, but when asked about the difficulties of expressing her character, she revealed that she performed the role with a highly challenging and exquisite sense of humor, saying, “There’s a moment when Yayoi falls, or rather, collapses, and it was difficult to portray the moment when everything that had been building up inside her explodes. But I think it was also extremely difficult to express the conflict of having to maintain one’s sanity even as the explosion occurs.”
Today’s stage greeting included Suzuki Shion, Monma Wataru, and Tanaka Juri from “Manji Reverse,” who co-starred with Nakazaki.
Masuda Yuki and Hayashi Yuta from “A Fool’s Love: Reverse,” as well as Horai Tadaaki, director of both films, also took to the stage, exciting the audience at the venue.

Suzuki, who played the lead role in “Manji Reverse,” said, “I think this film is something that is rare in this day and age, with its themes of homosexuality and adultery. I hope you will watch as these four characters become increasingly intertwined.”
