[DJ KOO]“When times are tough, it’s okay to feel down. A bright future awaits elementary school students in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture at the “Avex Class” held as a recovery support activity after the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.


DJ KOO (TRF) appeared as a lecturer at “avex class” held at Asahi Elementary School in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture on December 16th, and gave a career education class to approximately 64 fifth and sixth grade elementary school students. I did it.

“Avex Class” is a career education program run by Avex Inc. as part of its sustainability activities. Artists, talents, creators, and athletes visit educational institutions across the country and tell children the importance of “the ability to believe in talent and dreams” through their own experiences.


This class was held as part of the reconstruction support for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, which has been underway since September, and includes lessons such as “I want the children affected by the disaster to live bright and positive lives,” and “the ability to believe in their talents and dreams.” This was made possible in response to the school’s wish to convey the importance of this event.


DJ who served as a lecturer “When I was in elementary school, I had a shy personality and was afraid that what I said was wrong, so I couldn’t actively raise my hand,” said KOO, looking back on her elementary school days when she often changed schools. “However, when I mustered up the courage to raise my hand and speak during the class meeting, everyone said that was great!” and I realized how important it is to express my feelings in words and through actions. I felt like it was okay to fail,” he said.


Speaking about the rugby club he belonged to in high school, he said, “There were times when I didn’t agree with the guidance from my teachers and seniors because of the strict hierarchy, but I persevered and continued for three years, which has helped me get to where I am today.” ” and commented on the importance of continuing to do one thing.

He also talked about meeting his mentor, Tetsuya Komuro, and wanting to become a DJ, saying, “At that time, DJing was not as popular as it is now, so when I told my parents that I wanted to pursue DJing as a career, they were very worried and didn’t understand. There wasn’t.” “But, I believe that if you like something that others don’t understand, you can do it to the best of your ability.If you want to be recognized, you should show it with your attitude and posture, not just with your words.”Based on his own experience, he says, do what you like at work. In addition, regarding the fact that he is currently expanding his activities beyond his artist activities, such as variety shows, he said, “EZ DO, which is TRF’s signature song. I was praised by an engineer who told me how well I could convey my feelings, which gave me confidence, and I feel like that experience is useful in my current variety show work.”He said that he enjoys trying new things. was conveyed to the children.
