At a fan club event held on May 29th, LUNA SEA announced that they will hold their first Tokyo Dome concert in approximately 14 years on Sunday, February 23rd of next year (national holiday), as the grand finale of their ongoing 35th anniversary tour.

May 29th marks the 35th anniversary of the band’s formation. An event exclusive to members of the official fan club “SLAVE”, “LUNA SEA 35th Anniversary MEMORIAL TALK & UNPLUGGED SESSION” was held, and as the members gathered at the front of the stage after the unplugged drive in the second half of the event, a tense image suddenly appeared on the screen behind them. After counting up the years that were turning points for LUNA SEA, the words “TOKYO DOME” were projected across the screen. And finally, the full picture was revealed.

As the floor erupted in screams of joy, a new portrait of the five members lined up in a row was projected onto the screen.

When the image disappeared from the screen, the members were lined up in the same position as in the portrait under the spotlight. Amidst loud cheers, RYUICHI finished by saying, “February 23, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome. I think this will be the night we prepare ourselves for. See you at the Dome!”, and the five members left the stage.

“LUNATIC TOKYO” was the title of their first concert in 1995, when they made their major debut and reached the Tokyo Dome in just three and a half years, and it is a word that holds special meaning for fans from that time. Since then, the Tokyo Dome has been chosen as the venue for many important live performances, and this time, for the finale of their 35th anniversary, it has been decided that they will finally perform at the Tokyo Dome for the 10th time.

Tokyo Dome is a sacred place for LUNA SEA, where the band members and fans have sometimes been thrilled by their youthful energy, sometimes experienced sadness and despair, and once again shared moments of joy.
Last weekend, LUNA SEA kicked off their 35th anniversary nationwide tour “ERA TO ERA,” performing 41 shows recreating the tour menu from various eras. Be sure to witness for yourself what kind of miracles they will create at the Tokyo Dome, their final destination.
