[YU-KI (TRF)]Appearing on “NAON’s YAON 2024” for the first time in 5 years, “I was extremely inspired by the performance of my seniors”

TRF’s YU-KI appeared at “NAON’s YAON 2024,” a rock festival exclusively for female singers sponsored by SHOW-YA, held at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall in Tokyo on the 18th.
His first appearance in five years, since 2019, drew loud cheers from the packed audience.

“NAON’s YAON 2024” was produced by SHOW-YA, a five-member rock band, and was first held in 1987.
This event, which is said to be a pioneer of urban festivals, features all female performers. It’s a festival of muses that will be the talk of the town, featuring collaborations between surprising artists that will only be available for that day.
This year, the 18th time, in addition to YU-KI, 22 groups of 50 female musicians performed, including Miki Asakura and Nanase Aikawa, who were performing for the first time, and SILENT SIREN, who resumed their activities after about two years.

YU-KI, who added color to such a historic event, made his debut as TRF in 1993 and produced many national hit songs including “EZ DO DANCE” and “BOY MEETS GIRL”, and in 1995 released ” Shining! Received the Japan Record Award. He laid the foundation for Japanese dance and vocals, selling over 22 million CDs in total.
In February of this year, TRF 30th Anniversary Live at Nippon Budokan “Past and Future.” was held at Nippon Budokan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut, and it was sold out immediately. With his overwhelming presence, he continues to give dreams and excitement to all kinds of people through dance and music.

On this day, the temperature in Tokyo rose to 28 degrees.
The Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall was filled with a packed audience, showing off the early summer weather.

At dusk, after 6pm, when the weather was getting cooler, SHOW-YA’s vocalist Keiko Terada, who served as MC, called out, “It’s been a long time since we’ve appeared! YU-KI!”, and the audience at Yaon began to cheer. welcomed YU-KI with loud cheers.

YU-KI, dressed in a gorgeous ice blue coat, performed “masquerade -30th Version for Budokan-“.
With her natural, relaxed singing voice and nimble steps, she instantly brings the atmosphere of Noon into the YU-KI style.

YU-KI called out, “Good evening, everyone! Looks like you’re doing well!” and the audience responded, “YU-KI!” Not to be outdone.
“It’s starting to be a nice sunset! I’m participating in NAON’s YAON for the first time in 5 years. I don’t often sing live, so I’m really happy that I was able to sing with a different arrangement than usual today. Thank you!”, YU-KI expressed his gratitude for this event.

After taking off his coat, YU-KI shouted, “Let’s go!” and began the famous song “EZ DO DANCE -Version 2023-“, which can be said to be synonymous with TRF.
Led by SHOW-YA’s drummer Miki Tsunoda “mittan”, the band members assembled for this day gave a spectacular performance as they danced freely across the stage, backed by a profound performance.
Everyone in Yaon’s audience waved and jumped, creating an atmosphere filled with euphoria.

At the end of the performance, which lasted about 17 minutes, everyone sang together the song “survival dAnce ~no no cry more~,” which is essential when talking about TRF.
A one-night-only special moment was delivered to the audience gathered at Yaon, and the excitement was explosive.

During the MC with Terada, Terada highly praised, saying, “I always thought it was so exciting.Everyone knows it!People who have a lot of hit songs are strong!”
YU-KI expressed his gratitude over and over again, saying, “Thanks to everyone who listened. Thank you!”

When I spoke to YU-KI after the performance, he said, “When I perform at NAON’s YAON, I feel that there are a lot of people who really love music, and also because it is held at a time when the weather is very nice. I hope everyone was able to relax and enjoy themselves,” he said, looking back with a sense of fulfillment.

She continued, “A lot of my seniors were performing today, and before I went on stage, I was really inspired by their performance.I felt motivated to do my best, but at the same time, I was a little nervous. ”, he revealed his honest feelings.

YU-KI nodded with a smile and said, “While I was having fun today, I also learned a lot in the backyard, so it was a really fulfilling day for me.”
