[Skapara]New song “You haven’t given up yet, right?” Digital release starts on January 15th!

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, which had a huge success last year with its first stadium live performance “Ska Para Koshien” to commemorate its 35th anniversary, has announced the launch of MARO 17, a men’s hair care brand developed by Nature Lab Co., Ltd. It has been decided that a digital release of the new song “You haven’t given up yet, right?”, which was written as a commercial song, has been decided.

The commercial MARO17 “You haven’t given up yet, right?”, which has already been released on YouTube, was produced as a sequel to the previous commercial “UTAKATA FEAT.TETSU” and features the main character Tetsu (voice actor: Yoshimasa Hosoya) and a new appearance. There are plenty of action scenes that you can enjoy, including Saku Chiya (voiced by Mamoru Miyano). Please pay attention to the melody line that makes you feel exhilarating, which matches the commercial, and the lyrics that manly express Tetsu’s feelings, which depicted his heartbreak in the previous work.

Skapara’s “You haven’t given up yet, right?”, which caused a huge response with the commercial broadcast of “MARO 17”, will be available on various music downloading and streaming services such as Apple Music, LINE MUSIC, Spotify, etc. starting tomorrow, January 15th (Wednesday). I have had the most fun working with MARO, and this time I was able to proceed smoothly with my work. Thank you very much. A wonderfully swingy song composed by Kinichi Mogi, the drummer. After finishing the recording of the performance, I, Yanaka, the baritone and saxophonist, wrote the lyrics, assuming that NARGO, the trumpet player, would sing.

The lyrics were written completely after the song was finished, with MAPPA giving me a detailed plan for the frame layout.

“You haven’t given up yet, have you? ‘So we’re still halfway through, right? Isn’t it possible to make your life bloom even more? MAPPA’s feeling of not giving up and the bad feelings of not being able to give up on the girlfriend who left him are mixed together, and I think it’s humane and interesting, as MAPPA defeats the bad guys. I tried to mix it up with actions that reward good and punish evil.

After the song was finished, I felt a sense of exhilaration. If you can’t give up and move forward, then it’s time to move on! The last part of the lyrics, “Mawarou,” can also be felt in other words. lol
