A collection of cat works with a variety of expressions created by artists fascinated by cats. In addition to Akira Uno, Masayuki Oki, Kako Toyachi, Isuke Yokota, Shinichi Wakasa, and Aki Yashiro, new artworks by Ayako Ishiguro, Ryu Ambe, and Fujiko Hemming will be exhibited. *The Fujiko Hemming Foundation has endorsed this project and decided to exhibit the works of the late Fujiko Hemming.
In addition, a planned corner of other highlights will also be announced. Large-scale installation works using cat towers, science and trivia related to cats, and deciphering the charms and mysteries of cats! Corner, real “Minnya’s Photo Gallery” exhibiting “NyART photo works” for general recruitment, Cat Day Business Trip in Harajuku, etc. Furthermore, a special project has been realized with Imado Shrine in Asakusa, which is known as the “birthplace of the beckoning cat” and “a power spot for fulfilling love.” In cooperation with Imado Shrine, a pair of beckoning cats and a sumi-e work by the chief priest will be exhibited as “NyART works,” as well as original paper votive tablets designed exclusively for NyART FESTIVAL 2025.
