Tomggg’s collection of works released from 2022 to 2024, “superposition”, has been released. The title “superposition” has the image of overlapping layers like geological formations, and the meaning of a state in which various events are overlapping at the same time.
This work allows you to experience the colorful pop sound that is synonymous with him, his musical interpretation and style that can be glimpsed through collaboration with a wide variety of artists from Japan and abroad, and the changes he has undergone as an artist over the years. “Dragonia,” a co-production with Kaho Nakamura, which he aspired to produce. “Strawberry Milk” featured ena mori from the Philippines, who won NME’s best Asian albums of 2022, and received high praise from various quarters. Other artists include Indonesian indie pop icon Vira Talisa, Hong Kong electronic artist Merry Lamb Lamb, and LA’s Raychel Jay, with whom he collaborated for the first time since his masterpiece “Away with Me.” A wide variety of artists who effortlessly transcend national borders, perfect for this global era. The diverse collaborations are outstanding. “Strawberry Milk (MON/KU Remix)” by up-and-coming artist MON/KU is also excellent.
The visuals were created by Hariko artist Hariko Nishiko. The jacket, which depicts the characters of each song, fully conveys the twisted fun of this work. Be sure to check out the music video for “Dragonia,” in which a dragon made of papier-mâché dances in the sky.
