TREASURE is a global boy group that debuted in August 2020 on the survival audition program “YG Treasure Box,” and since the release of their debut song “BOY,” they have swept the rookie awards at major awards such as the Asian Artist Award, MAMA, Golden Disc Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.
The song “STUPID -JP Ver.-“, included in the JAPAN 3rd mini album “REBOOT -JP SPECIAL SELECTION-” released in February this year, is currently gaining popularity on TikTok, ranking 6th in the Billboard JAPAN TikTok Weekly Top 20 released on May 22nd.
In early May, famous TikToker Local Campione (number of followers: approx. 1.2 million) posted a video of the hand gesture dance for the same song, and since it’s a simple hand gesture dance that anyone can imitate, he also quoted the lyrics of “Please Stop Tears”. Many challenge videos titled “Dance” were posted, and in just three weeks, the total number of views on TikTok exceeded 100 million, and the song ranked in the top 50 of TikTok’s song charts. TREASURE will hold their second nationwide fan meeting, “2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING,” in July this year. They will tour the country on an unprecedented scale for a Korean boy band, with 20 performances in five cities in total: Kanagawa, Hiroshima, Hyogo, Aichi, and Fukuoka.
