“MEET YOUR ART”, an art program hosted by Mirai Moriyama, introduces art journalist Erimi Fujiwara’s recommended introductory books on Western art! We take a closer look at the top 5 books that can teach you about Western art history




“MEET YOUR ART” is an art project centered around art-focused programming, with over 66,000 subscribers on its YouTube channel.

MEET YOUR ART[INSIGHT]a content where guests give in-depth explanations about the people, things, and events behind art, will begin broadcasting a guest appearance from tonight by art journalist Eri Fujiwara, who worked on the “NARA MURAKAMI” special feature at the BRUTUS editorial department and is involved in the editing and translation of numerous art books and magazines.

This time, Fujiwara will explain five introductory books that provide an easy-to-understand summary of Western art.
From essential books for studying Western art history to paperbacks by Japanese artist Morimura Yasumasa, Fujiwara will introduce these books from his unique INSIGHT perspective.




Erimi Fujiwara, Art Journalist
After graduating from the Department of Art at Tokyo University of the Arts, he worked at the BRUTUS editorial department, and is currently in charge of editing exhibition catalogues such as “Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Collection” at the Yokohama Museum of Art and “Keith Haring: Art is for Everyone” at the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection, as well as writing and translating numerous art-related books.
