[The Blue Sky I Wanted to See]Selected as the ending theme for the TV anime “FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest”!

It has been decided that “The Blue Sky I Wanted to See (commonly known as Boku Ao)” will be the ending theme for the TV anime “FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest,” which is scheduled to begin airing in July 2024.

The 23-member group Bokutai Mita Aozora (commonly known as Bokuao) debuted on August 30, 2023 with “Aozora ni wo Kangaeru” as the official rival of Nogizaka46. At the end of 2023, they won the Newcomer Award at the 65th Japan Record Awards, and their second single “Graduation Made” released on January 31, 2024 was the first to introduce a selection system, which became a hot topic. They topped both the Billboard JAPAN weekly single sales chart “Top Singles Sales” and the Oricon daily single ranking chart. Their third single is scheduled to be released on August 7, 2024.

The song that has been chosen as the ending theme, “Tomo yo Koko wa Sayonara Da,” will be included on the 3rd single of The Blue Sky I Wanted to See.
In addition, it has been decided that the digital release will coincide with the first broadcast of the TV anime. It will start streaming on Monday, July 8th at 0:00, so be sure to check it out.

The ending theme song for the TV anime “FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest”, “Friend, Here We Say Goodbye”, sings about how friends are the best rivals, and that it is because of friends (rivals) that one can become stronger.

Regarding his joy at being the first to collaborate with an anime and his affinity with the work,
Yagi said, “I never thought our song would be the ending theme, so I’m very surprised and excited!”, Hayasaki said, “It’s a positive song about wanting to become stronger together, so I would like to share this song with many people,” and Shiogama said, “I felt that the ‘feelings of cherishing your friends’ that is depicted in the work is something that is common to BokuAo. I would be happy if it becomes a song that stays in the hearts of many people.”

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, BokuAo will hold “The Blue Sky I Wanted to See, 1st Anniversary of Formation, One-Man Live I Wanted to See, Vol.1” at Zepp DiverCity (TOKYO), and from June 1st, content will be distributed daily on their official SNS in the run up to their 1st anniversary. They have also decided on their first tie-up song for a TV anime work, and their momentum is unstoppable as they approach their 1st anniversary. I want to burn their success into my eyes.
