KIDS B HAPPY presents “EXILE B HAPPY SHOW 2024” @Showa Women’s University Hitomi Memorial Auditorium 4.27 Official Report

EXILE B HAPPY, a 7-member music unit born from LDH’s kids entertainment project “KIDS B HAPPY” with the aim of “supporting children’s dreams through dance and music,” will be performing at Showa Women’s University on April 27th. Their first solo performance “KIDS B HAPPY presents “EXILE B HAPPY SHOW 2024”” was held at Kenkinen Auditorium (Tokyo).

This performance, which attracted a total of 4,000 people (approximately 500 elementary school students and younger over the two performances) over two performances, included leader EXILE TETSUYA (EXILE/EXILE THE SECOND), vocalists Hokuto Yoshino (THE RAMPAGE) and Souta Nakajima ( FANTASTICS), performers Hayato Komori (GENERATIONS), Mandy Sekiguchi (EXILE/GENERATIONS), Shohei Urakawa (THE RAMPAGE), Keito Kimura (FANTASTICS), and guest EXILE NESMITH will appear. In addition, it is a “children’s live show” aimed at elementary school students and younger, and it is “Your HAPPY is everyone’s HAPPY. To the children, LOVE and POWER. To everyone around the children, SMILE.” Children’s entertainment with the theme of “making children’s hearts and bodies dance.” In the lobby of the venue, there was a playground (kids space lined with play equipment) devised by “Omotenashi Master TETSUYA” in collaboration with toy company Bornelund, as well as a drawing corner, photo spot, clowns, long legs, and statues (moving). Performances by street performers such as “Nai Hito” were also added, and children’s happy voices could be heard even before the performance began. Surrounding them were parents calling out to their children, and adult fans looking on kindly. Before the performance, in a box interview attended by TETSUYA, Komori, Yoshino, and Nakajima, Yoshino predicted, “I think it will be a live that will connect us to the future,” and we can already see the happy and fantastic world that EXILE B HAPPY is looking towards. It was spreading.

A little after the scheduled time, when the school chime and announcement rang out, an old man (NESMITH) with an Eddie Murphy-like tone began to read a picture-story show in front of the child dancers dressed as elementary school students. The children were captivated by the street performers who put on a show to the narration of NESMITH. When he asked, “Why don’t you go and meet the heroes that you can only meet in your dreams?”, cheers erupted, and EXILE B HAPPY appeared on stage at the last minute. The first song of the live part was the title song “MORNING SUN” from the first single scheduled to be released on May 5th (Children’s Day). This song, which was released in advance in January, seems to have already become established as their signature song, and along with Yoshino and Nakajima’s refreshing singing voices, the audience was filled with energetic “Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!” put out. Next, the seven members ran around the audience seats on the excitement-carrying “Choo Choo TRAIN” (EXILE), high-fiving one after another! Among the groups they belong to, they often stand in arenas and domes, but for this song, they performed huge jumps right in front of the audience, creating a homely atmosphere.

Nakajima added, “Everyone, please show me your palms! I can see many palms. I hope that hope and happiness will come here.” Kimura was a kid dancer for “Salmon Sand” (EXILE). This song has a history of being danced alongside TETSUYA during EXILE’s first stadium tour “EXILE LIVE TOUR 2010 FANTASY”. DJ Sho-hey (Urakawa), who appeared with the cute encouragement of the kids dancers, turned the venue into a KIDS DISCO with his skillful DJ play, singing songs such as GENERATIONS’ “HELLO! HALO!” and THE RAMPAGE’s “ROLL UP”. I will change it. The members returned to the stage and went to “WON’T BE LONG” (EXILE), accompanied by children who were moving their bodies as they pleased. During this song, huge colorful balloons bounced around the audience seats, and Komori, who had danced to “WON’T BE LONG” in the “Okazaile” project when she was a teenager, performed a large-scale dance similar to her days at EXPG STUDIO, and said, Oly oly oly oh! 〉Leaded the call. The members who were once the ones who inherited from their seniors are now passing on the wonders of music and dance to the next generation. While watching over such a happy chain of events, TETSUYA said with a bright smile, “It’s a space surrounded by love, and it’s the best!”

After the MC, the theatrical part by the performers began. The next song was supposed to start, but something happened at DJ Sho-hey’s DJ table. Surprisingly, the villain “Devil the Nesmith” played by NESMITH was interfering with the sound. The children looked a little worried as the villain appeared, occasionally eliciting laughter with his comical acting, but also declaring, “I hate singing and dancing!” But it’s okay, we have “that hero”. When the entire venue shouted his name in unison, Mandy Man appeared carrying the theme song “MANDY MAN” on his back. Mendyman regained the energy of the audience that had been stolen from him by Devil the Nesmith and announced, “Let’s go from here!” Dropped the theme song “KICK&SLIDE” (Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS) of “KICK&SLIDE”, which was broadcast as a corner animation on “Hasta”. A total of 33 people including support dancers defeated Devil the Nesmith with powerful dance and enthusiasm, and the performers danced “YMCA” (GENERATIONS) as a victory dance.

The two vocalists who received the baton from the performers said, “Let’s make the best memories together today” (Yoshino) and “Thank you so much for taking the time to come and see us.” ” (Nakajima) said. The ballad “Yell”, which was performed for the first time from EXILE’s second chapter’s first album “EXILE EVOLUTION”, softly swooped in. The warm cheer written by EXILE ATSUSHI poured into the audience along with the singing voices of the two people who have inspired themselves to make their dreams come true even when they were weak. Especially for Yoshino, who sang this song during the audition, it can be said to be the “first step toward a dream.” The performers who were watching the scene from the side of the stage raved, saying, “It’s wonderful!” and TETSUYA, the founder of EXILE B HAPPY, said, “I think it’s because we’re the members that we’re able to see this scene.” Look around the audience. When he went to see EXILE’s live show for the first time, he was impressed by the way they danced with the kids dancers, and was eager to perform as part of EXILE B HAPPY. Kiss you” (EXILE). In this song, B HAPPYS (kids dancers) and the members danced together, making the dream moment that TETSUYA envisioned that day come true. By the way, according to an interview before the performance, for Komori, “Kiss you” was a song that brought back the painful memories of dancing at an audition when he was 10 years old and failing, but 18 years later, he has become an artist. His smile is so dazzling as he dances “Kiss you” to make his dream come true. “Dream On” by THE RAMPAGE, to which Yoshino and Urakawa belong, and “Flying Fish” by FANTASTICS, to which Nakajima and Kimura belong, also gently supported those chasing their dreams. Furthermore, the members who descended on the audience during “Flying Fish” held up colorful towels and began an LDH medley from “Going Crazy” by EXILE THE SECOND, to which TETSUYA belongs. In this song, NESMITH also breaks in and goes wild! The album will feature up-tuned tunes such as FANTASTICS’ “CANONBALL,” THE RAMPAGE’s “Jump,” and GENERATIONS’ “NOW or NEVER,” to which Sekiguchi and Komori belong. During “Going Crazy” and “CANONBALL,” street performers also graced the stage, making it feel like you were in a dream, or in the story that NESMITH led during the opening picture-story show.

However, when they boarded “Galaxy Express 999” with NESMITH (Devil the Nesmith version with dark villain makeup), who has an attractive deep bass voice, the one and a half hour live came to an end. . The members smile as if they are reluctant to leave their names behind as they hear the names being thrown at them from the audience. Then, on to “BE HAPPY”, which is scheduled to be included in the 1st single “MORNING SUN”. The sight of the children cackling and having fun along with Urakawa and Sekiguchi’s light rapping is a sight that can only be seen at EXILE B HAPPY. At the end, they once again paraded through the audience carrying “MORNING SUN” and concluded “KIDS B HAPPY presents ‘EXILE B HAPPY SHOW 2024′” where they performed a total of 18 songs.

This performance was a chance for the members to make their dreams come true, and leader TETSUYA said, “Starting from this day, we want to deliver EXILE B HAPPY’s kids’ entertainment to various regions.” Yes, EXILE B HAPPY’s journey has only just begun. First of all, let’s get excited about the first single “MORNING SUN” and prepare for the next release.
