Awesome City Club member PORIN’s solo project Pii will be featured on ABC TV/TV Asahi network’s 24 nationwide network “ANiMAZiNG!!!” slot, and the opening theme song for the anime “My Neighbor Youkai-san” “Obake Himawari” will be released on April 24th (Wednesday). Distribution will begin on various distribution sites.

Additionally, a teaser video for the music video has been released today, and it has also been decided that the music video will be released from 20:00 on Wednesday, April 24th.

This time’s artist photo, jacket photo, and music video differ from the previous image of PORIN/Pii, and reflect the worldview of the song, creating a work that expresses a new charm of the individual.
We hope that you will enjoy the world view expressed in the opening theme song “Obake Himawari” along with “My Neighbor Youkai-san”.

For this work, which is Pii’s first anime tie-up, they read the original work, visited the land where the story takes place, relying on the slight hints in the original work, and worked on creating the music.

I was very happy to be able to work on such a heartwarming and beloved work.
I read the manga and thought, oh, I want to live in a world like this too. While thinking about this, I found myself visiting the place where the manga was set.
Time passes gently there, and your heart becomes lighter. She steps barefoot into the river and takes a deep breath. Become one with nature.
I thought of “My Neighbor Youkai-san” and wrote this song.
It was a very precious time.
“Ghost Himawari” is a song that embodies such an atmosphere.
I hope that it will be a place of refuge for all of you, like your next-door neighbor and your spiritual hometown.


●PORIN (Awesome City Club, Pii)

He made his major debut in 2015 as a member of Awesome City Club.
In 2021, he appeared as himself in the movie “A Bouquet of Love” and released the movie’s inspiration song “Mubo”, which continued to rank high on various distribution sites, and when related videos are included, the sales were 1.1 billion yen.
