Ayumi Hamasaki, who celebrates the 26th anniversary of her debut this year, has announced that she will be releasing her new song “Aurora” digitally on Wednesday, June 26th.
Composed by Kazuhiro Hara and arranged by Yuta Nakano, the song is a medium-tempo rock number that starts off with a conversational opening, then builds up to an intense yet sad tension, just like Ayu! It expresses the worldview of “overcoming difficulties and finally meeting a beautiful aurora.”
A music video is also scheduled to be released on the day of the distribution, and it is said to be an emotional video work that was filmed by Ayu herself, the performers, the choreographer, and all the staff watching the monitor while being deeply moved. The teaser for the music video is currently uploaded on YouTube, so please check it out.
Ayumi Hamasaki has dropped a new work right after the release of her digital single “BYE-BYE” on April 8th (broadcast on NHK’s “Minna no Uta” from April to May), and it’s clear that she is never stopping. We can’t take our eyes off her.
