TREASURE is a global boy group that debuted in August 2020 on the survival audition program “YG Treasure Box,” and since the release of their debut song “BOY,” they have swept the rookie awards at major awards such as the Asian Artist Award, MAMA, Golden Disc Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.
It has been announced that TREASURE’s first double A-side single will be released on Wednesday, August 21st. The single will include the JP version of their latest song “KING KONG,” released on Tuesday, May 28th for the first time in about 10 months and which reached number one on the iTunes charts in 18 countries and regions, as well as the Japanese original song “REVERSE,” which will be the theme song for the TV Asahi Friday night drama “Densetsu no Head Sho” starting on Friday, July 19th.
“KING KONG -JP Ver.-” is a dynamic dance song with a strong beat and powerful bass, and the lyrics express the blind sad love of “I know it won’t come true, but I’ll give everything to love”. In addition, “REVERSE” has the meaning of “reversal” and “two-sided existence” and the two meanings of the same sound “REBIRTH (reborn)”, and the strong will to “be reborn as a new self, a true self and grab the future” is put into it. The impressive and edgy wobble bass phrase raises the excitement with a heavy low-pitched rap, and the moment it enters the chorus, it expands with a fast-paced and addictive drum beat, making it an energetic and emotional upper tune that is typical of TREASURE, transcending genres and attracting a wide range of listeners. The DVD/Blu-ray will include the MUSIC VIDEO and BEHIND THE SCENES of “KING KONG -JP Ver.-” for the first time.

Furthermore, their second nationwide fan meeting, “2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING ~ WONDERLAND ~,” will begin in July this year, and will cover 13 dates in a total of 6 cities, including Kanagawa, Hiroshima, Hyogo, Aichi, Fukuoka, and the recently announced additional Tokyo performance, completing their nationwide fan meeting tour on an unprecedented scale for a Korean boy group.
TREASURE is a live artist that values having their fans see their performances in person, but they are also well-known for the fast-paced conversations that take place between the members. Fan meetings allow you to discover a different side of the members than you would at a concert, and some venues have already sold out, so be sure to get your tickets early.
Furthermore, the song “STUPID -JP Ver.-“, included in the JAPAN 3rd MINI ALBUM “REBOOT -JP SPECIAL SELECTION-” released in February this year, ranked 6th in the Billboard JAPAN TikTok Weekly Top 20 released on June 12th, and is currently gaining popularity on TikTok.
Many challenge videos were posted under the title “#StopTearsDance” that referenced the lyrics, and in just a month and a half, the total number of views on TikTok exceeded 250 million, and it was ranked in the Top 50 of the TikTok music chart. Furthermore, popular artists such as Da-iCE, JO1, and INI, as well as popular influencers with over 2 million followers, are posting the song one after another, creating a buzz.
