It has been announced that globe, a three-person unit consisting of Tetsuya Komuro, MARC PANTHER, and KEIKO, will release a remastered Blu-ray version of their 1999 tour “globe tour 1999 Relation” on Wednesday, August 28th, featuring the first complete recording of all the songs performed and the first Dolby Atmos® 3D surround mix audio. The cover photo has also been made public, and a teaser video has been released on their official YouTube Channel.
This work was held to promote their 4th album “Relation”, and was said to be the most conceptual and complete tour in the history of globe, attracting an audience of about 300,000 people. It was a complete departure from their previous live performances that were bound by preconceived ideas of simply lining up hit songs, and aimed to destroy various common sense and frames, expressing a “nightmare” with the theme of “fear”, with gimmicks and sets that stunned the audience, and a story-like structure, making it a legendary tour that has been highly praised as a completely new major music show.
Until now, only albums from this tour have been released with some parts missing, but this time, all the songs performed will be recorded in their entirety for the first time, and it will also feature the original audio from the venue during the end credits, which conveys the energy of the show at the end, something that was not included in the original packaging.
The enclosed bonus features include a serial code for viewing NeSTREAM LIVE, which will allow you to easily enjoy the footage mixed with immersive Dolby Atmos® sound on your smartphone, as well as a large 40-page special booklet containing reprints of live photos from the time and many valuable materials related to the stage.
In addition, to coincide with this release, advance screenings will be held at theaters across the country, allowing people to experience this spectacular stage performance early.
In addition, Fuji TV TWO Drama/Anime has announced that it will air a special re-edited version of “BEHIND THE SCENE globe tour 1999 Relation,” a documentary program that aired in 1999 and closely follows the behind-the-scenes of this tour, for the first time in about 25 years.
