The comprehensive entertainment contest “Kira Challenge 2024”, open to boys and girls from 3 years old to 3rd year of junior high school, has been decided to be held, and entries will begin on Friday, June 21st.

“Kira Challenge” is one of the largest comprehensive entertainment contests in Japan, sponsored by Avex Entertainment, which supports children in “challenging” their dreams with the motto “The important thing is to challenge yourself.”
This year marks the 18th year of the event, and a new rap category has been added to the vocal category. In addition to last year’s regions, the regional preliminaries will be held in the long-awaited Tohoku region.
The event is being held with the special cooperation of AEON Mall Co., Ltd., with preliminary rounds held at AEON Malls across the country, and the finals to be held in Shinagawa, Tokyo on November 10. All applicants will be directly assessed from the first round without a document screening, providing a great opportunity to maximize the appeal of the event.
There are three categories for applications: Model, Vocals/Rap, and Dance.
As with last year, each person can apply to all categories, meaning it is possible to compete in the final stage in three categories.
The grand prize winners in the modeling, vocal and rap categories will receive free lessons to support their development. The grand prize winner in the dance category will receive a cash prize. In addition, there are a total of nine luxurious prizes in the three categories, including the “Nico☆Puchi Award (Modeling Category),” which will allow the winner to become an exclusive model for Shinchosha’s “Nico☆Puchi.”
This year, as the first of many special projects, a Kirachare spin-off will be held in collaboration with the Avex Hokkaido/Okinawa Audition.
Those who pass will have the chance to step onto the big stage at the final competition of “Kira Challenge 2024” to be held in Tokyo on November 10th.
There are many more special events planned for the future, so be sure to keep an eye out.
A total of nine groups have been appointed as official supporters: Ishibashi Yoa, avex ROYALBRATS, lol, Kawaei Rina, Uesaka Juri, GENIC, Takaishi Akari, DJ KOO, and Ikumi Airi.
This year too, a stellar cast of Avex talent will be watching the children shine and giving their enthusiastic support to this “Summer Challenge.”
To date, KiraChale has produced many artists, models, actresses, and talents, including CanCam exclusive model Ikumi Meru, lol’s moca, Wasuta’s Mishima Ruka and Hirokawa Nanase, voice actor idol unit Wakai Yuki of i☆Ris, GENIC’s Koike Ryuki, Kanaya Mari, and Ui Yurari, and Ishibashi Aya, who voiced the lead character in the Disney/Pixar film “Coco.”

*Dance category is open to solo or team entries.
*There is no limit to the number of people on a team, but please limit the number of people to a number that allows for performance on the venue’s stage size (6m wide x 3.6m deep).
